#16 Men's Soccer Plays To Scoreless Draw Versus Bentley

Garden City, N.Y. - Two overtime periods was not enough to determine a winner during tonight's Northeast-10 Conference contest between the 16th ranked Adelphi University men's soccer team and Bentley earlier this evening, with the game ending in a draw. In the process, the Panthers set a new school record for straight shutouts at seven games.

The Panthers (6-1-1/4-0-1 NE-10) manufactored a 31-1 shot advantage throughout 110 minutes, however, 11 saves from Harrison Rapant kept the hosts off the board. Rapant needed to make just one save in the first period, facing six shots. However, in the final 65 minutes, the Falcon (0-5-2/0-3-1) goalie stopped 10 shots that included three in the final overtime period.

The Brown and Gold also produced eight corner kicks, all coming after halftime, while Bentley created three corner kicks in the two overtime sessions. James Thristino generated the most attack for Adelphi by producing nine shots, three on-target. Federico De Oliveira, Caelan Hueber and Joseph Sanchez all attempted four shots with Hueber putting two on-net.

Sean Sullivan attempted the only shot for the Falcons on the evening, forcing Spenser Powell to make his lone save in the 60th minute. During a two-minute stretch in the second overtime, Sanchez and Thristino along with Toni Soler forced Rappant to make three saves.

Looking ahead, the Panthers travel to Merrimack on Saturday for a 6:00 pm league contest in North Andover, Mass.

Notes:
- The Brown and Gold continue its current shutout streak to seven games and 652 minutes, dating back to the season opener.
- Powell was tabbed the NE-10 Goalkeeper of the Week for the third straight week on Monday.
