North Andover, Mass. - A header in the 99th minute of overtime lifted the Adelphi University men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory at Northeast-10 Conference rival Merrimack earlier this evening.
Federico De Oliveira passed in a ball during the overtime session that
Caelan Hueber was able to head in for his sixth goal of the season and the game-winner for the Panthers (7-1-1/5-0-1 NE-10) this evening on the road.
The Warriors (8-2/5-1 NE-10) jumped ahead in the first half with a 1-0 lead as Connor O'Brien scored off a free kick from Mattia Lanzi during the fourth minute of action. However, the Brown and Gold were quick on the response in the 20th minute with a one-time shot.
