Garden City, N.Y. - 
Salvatore Tuttle led al players with 11 points, but the real story was Tuttle's second goal, which made him the programs all-time leader in tallies, helping the seventh ranked Panthers to a 19-11 victory over Northeast-10 opponent Franklin Pierce (4-5, 3-4 NE-10) this afternoon on Motamed Field. 
Last game Tuttle scored the game winning goal in overtime, this afternoon he became Adelphi's all-time leader in goals, breaking Jeff Reh's school record of 175 tallies. Tuttle know has 178 career goals and counting and led all players with 11 points (4G, 7A) today, his third game with double digit points this season. 
The remaining duo, of Adelphi's attacking trio also had strong games. 
Gordon Purdie, Jr. scored twice and assisted on two goals, while Stavis found the back of the Raven net on four ocassions. 
Anthony Gomes led the midfield with four points (2G, 2A), while 
Chris Racalbuto (2G), 
Anthony DeLuca (2A), and 
Travis Wahl (2G) were each credited with two points.
The defensive charge was once again led by 
Luke Spitzer and 
Joe Giardina. Spitzer caused four Raven turnovers, while Giardina was responsible for two. Spitzer was also an Adelphi key on the face-off, grabbing eight ground balls. 
John English (12-19) and 
Mark Andrejack (6-8) controlled this at the "X" for the Panthers, going a combined 18-27. 
John McGrath made four stops in 45 minutes of action, earning his ninth win of the season. 
Ryland Frost and 
Nicholas Badaracco split time in net in the fourth quarter. Frost made three stops in three and a half minutes of action, while Badaracco was credited with six saves in just over 11 minutes between the pipes.
Franklin Pierce scored the first two goals of the game and three of the first five, sending the hosts into the second 15 minutes of play trailing by one goal, 3-2. Adelphi got back on track in the second quarter, scoring just 24 seconds after the first whistle on a man-up goal from Purdie, Jr. that was created by Tuttle. Then Tuttle scored three straight, including a man-up opportunity that saw Purdie, Jr. returning the favor. This four goal spurt found the Brown and Gold on top, 6-3.
The Ravens Ben Lassow put a halt to the Adelphi run, beating McGrath for Franklin Pierce's fourth goal of the game, but Purdie, Jr. scored with 1:50 left in the first half, pushing the contest into halftime with the hosts on top, 7-4.
The third stanza was all Adelphi. The Panthers unleashed a nine goal binge during the third 15 minutes of play and the visitors only managed two goals of their own. At the end of the barrage, the Brown and Gold had build a, 11 goal lead, and effectively put the game away, 16-5. The Ravens turned the screws on Adelphi in the fourth and outscored the Panthers 5-3, but it was not enough and the Brown and Gold came away with a 19-11 win.
Adelphi will travel to Pleasantville, New York on Tuesday, April 12 to face-off with Pace University at 7:00 pm in a Northeast-10 conference showdown.
Notes:
- Tuttle is currently fourth among Division II players in all-time assists and fifth among all players with 113 career helpers.
- 
John English now owns the programs second and third spots in single season ground balls, collecting 124 last year and 114 and counting this year. The fourth spot is occupied by current head coach 
Gordon Purdie with 109, while the program standard for single season ground balls is Gregory Puskuldjian with 166. 
- With one more win this season, Adelphi will top the 10 win mark for the 21st time in program history. It would also be the Panthers seventh straight year with 10 wins or more, a streak that dates back to 2010.
