Garden City, N.Y. - Jacqueline Jahelka and Rachel O'Brien led a potent Panther attack past the 11th ranked Hawks of Saint Anselm in a Northeast-10 contest on Tuesday, March 17 on Motamed Field. The Brown and Gold opened the game with a quick four goal spurt, netting their four tallies in the first 3:42. It would be 13 more minutes before the Panthers found the back of the net again, off the stick of Jahelka, and 1:02 later Michele Scannell made it a, 6-0 Adelphi lead with 12:16 to play in the first.

The visitors scored two of the next three goals, making it a 7-2 game, before goals from Jahelka, Rachel O'Brien and Aitkens put Adelphi ahead, eight 10-2. However, Saint Anselm showed fight, scoring two straight to end the first half of play trailing by just six goals, 10-4.

The Adelphi lead remained steady at six to seven goals, coming back down to six, 13-6 on a Hawk tally with 22:50 to play, before a three goal Panther spurt made the count 16-6 and essentially put the game away with 18:19 remaining.

The Panthers out shot the Hawks, 41-19, collected more ground balls, 21-11 and won more draws, 18-9 in the win.
