West Haven, CT – A first half goal for the University of New Haven was the lone tally needed in a 1-0 setback on the road for the Adelphi University women's soccer team in Northeast-10 Conference competition.
Sierra Stein scored in the 19th minute to put the host Chargers (5-7-1/5-5-1 NE-10) on the board in the first half. Kelly Blank and Amber Sims were credited with the assists on the play.
The Panthers (7-4-1/4-4-1 NE-10) finished with a 13-10 advantage in shots as well as 3-1 in corner kicks. Sophomore

Laura Gomez also created two shots a piece.
Senior keeper
Sam Whitney made two saves on the afternoon while her counterpart, New Haven keeper Natasha Purchla, made seven saves to preserve the shutout that included four in the second period.
