Orlando, Fla. - The Adelphi University women's tennis team snapped a four-matching losing skid with a 7-2 win over Bentley University in Florida on Tuesday. The Panthers improve to 4-4 with the victory and the Falcons drop to 5-2 on the season.
The Panthers swept doubles play to take a 3-0 lead heading into singles action.
Maria Toft took a decisive 6-2, 6-1 win at top flight singles to go with her joint-effort 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles with
Bianca Posa, who also prevailed 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.
Gaby Adia also won handily in solo play, winning 6-0, 6-3 at No. 4 singles.
Adelphi resumes play on Thursday when the Panthers take on St. Cloud State University.
