Women's Bowling Goes 3-2 on Day One at FDU Jamboree

The team will continue in team play on Satuday, November 2 and Sunday, November 3.

The Panthers will participate in team play on Saturday, November 2 and Sunday, November 3.

Elmwood Park, NJ - The Adelphi University bowling team traveled to Elmwood Park, NJ to participate in the FDU Jamboree, hosted by Fairleigh Dickinson University. At the finish of day one the Panthers the Panthers collected three wins and two losses.

The day started with the Brown and Gold facing the Lady Jacks of Stephen F. Austin University. The squad jumped out to a game one lead but SFA rolled off three 200+ pin efforts to take the match by 95 pins, 827-732.

The Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman University saw the Panthers take a sustained lead and complete the 86 pin win with a final score of 670-584.

In the third match of the day, Arkansas State University fell behind by 59 pins following game one, but Adelphi was unable to hold the lead ultimately falling by 60 pins, 793-733.

The Panthers would close out the day with back-to-back wins, first holding off the Bears of Kutztown University by 36 pins, 743-707. Adelphi would hold onto a 22 pin lead as they defeated the Crusaders of Valparaiso University 749-727.

The Panthers return to action on Saturday for team play at the FDU Jamboree. The squad is now 17-9 on the season.
