Reading, Pa - The Adelphi University women's bowling team went 1-3 on the second day of the first NEC event of the season.

The Panthers began the day by dropping an 11 pin decision to St. Francis Brooklyn, 872-861, despite another standout effort by freshman Laura Zaugg (232).

The second match of the day started closely through five frames but St. Francis University pulled away for a 101-pin win, 921-820.

The Panthers then returned to Baker play with similar results falling in a staggering 213 pin loss (1033-820) to FDU. The squad showed some encouraging signs closing out the day with a 52-pin win over LIU 961-909.

The Panthers finished the weekend 2-6 and stand in sixth place. The Brown and Gold are now 22-19 on the season and return to play on Friday, November 15 at the UMES Hawk Classic in Millsboro, DE.
