Box Score Kissimmee, Florida - The Adelphi University softball team and Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) played to a 0-0 tie after five innings of play, in a game that was called due to rain and unplayable conditions. With the tie, Adelphi sits at 2-2-1 overall and IUP is currently 1-3-1.

IUP managed to get a base runner to third in the first and the fourth innings, loading the bases in the first with two outs, but Devon Kelly induced a ground out to third to get out of that jam. In the fourth IUP, managed to move the first runner of the inning to third, but an unassisted out by Jeanine Leo, a ground out to Kelly and a strikeout ended the threat.

The Panthers managed to put Heather Salerno and Leo on second in the first, but Adelphi could not get either runner past that point. Kelly threw all five innings for Adelphi, allowing four hits, striking out two and giving up two walks, while Salerno, Leo, Katie Andrews and Kayla Rieger accounted for Adelphi's four hits.

The Brown and Gold will return to action at 5:00 pm on Monday, March 12 when they take on IUP in a rematch in Kissimmee, Florida.
