Millsboro, Del. - The Adelphi University women's bowling team went a perfect 5-0 in day two of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hawk Classic on Saturday, downing four nationally-ranked opponents and holding tight to sixth place heading into the final day of competition. 

The Panthers started the day by defeating the Lumberjacks of Stephen F. Austin University by 69 pins, 1,003-934. Holly Zink (257), Samantha Morlack (206), and Erica Schneider (193) led the way.

Match two versus Deleware State University was a barn burner, coming down to the last shot as Morlack anchored a seven-pin win, 897-890.

The Commodores of Vanderbilt University were overtaken by the spirited Adelphi squad as Holly (244), Morlack (234), and Kristina Porter (212) with assists from Schneider (210) and Kathryn Rivera (176) took the 1,077-1,007 victory by 69 pins.

The ladies then unraveled the Bears of Morgan State University by 135 pins, 988-853, as Porter (233) and Zink (209) helped closed the deal.

The final match of the day came against the Spartans of Norfolk State University which came down to the last bowler. Morlack (219), Zink (195), and Rivera (193) held of the Spartans by 13 pins, 905-892.

The Panthers are 8-2 on the weekend with three matches on Sunday and stand at 33-9 on the season.
