The annual National Student-Athlete Awards Ceremony will be held this year on Thursday, April 7 at 6:00 p.m. in the Campbell Lounge.
The awards that will be handed out during the ceremony will be the Presidential Award, Faculty Athletic Representative Academic Award, Faculty Recognition Award, Certificate of Recognition Award, and the Z. Paul Akian Scholarship Award.
THE PRESIDENTIAL AWARD

This award is presented to student-athletes with senior class status, who achieves successful
balance throughout the academics, athletics, and community service and campus involvement. A
minimum of 3.3 GPA is required.
FACULTY ATHLETIC REPRESENTATIVE ACADEMIC AWARD

This award recognizes the academic excellence of student-athletes who has junior or senior class
status with athletic prowess and community involvement as secondary criteria. A minimum of 3.7
GPA is required.

This award is presented to an outstanding male and female junior student-athlete who maintains
an overall balance in their academics, athletic and community/campus involvement as noted by
the National Student-Athlete Awards committee. A minimum of 3.3 GPA is required. The
recipients will receive a grant for $500.
