Larissa Melendez opened up the 2012 outdoor track season at the Monmouth Season Opener on March 24. She competed in the 3,000m steeplechase and logged a time of 11:41 which earned her second place. Additionally, the mark broke the previous school record held by Gina Cristaldi (12:18.51) set back in 2010.

The Panthers return to the track on April 6th, in Princeton, New Jersey to compete in the Sam Howell Meet.
