Tyler Wakely joins the Adelphi University Event Management staff for his first season in the fall of 2026.
Wakely is a 2026 graduate of Farmingdale State College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management. During his time as a Ram, he maintained a 3.4 grade point average.
Prior to joining Adelphi, Wakely completed internships with Molloy University in Sports Operations and Athletic Communications, as well as a field manager internship with Perfect Game USA. He also works as a front desk associate for SPORTIME, playing a key role in daily facility operations, scheduling, and the coordination of events and programs.
During his internship with Molloy, Wakely assisted with game-day operations for soccer, football, and basketball, including event setup and facility management. His responsibilities included supporting athletic administrators and coaches with equipment needs and inventory, as well as assisting with in-game production, including audio, visual, and live coverage. Wakely also created postgame recaps, summarizing game results, key moments, and player performances.
During his time with Perfect Game USA, Wakely coordinated day-to-day tournament operations, ensured smooth field operations, took scouting notes, and recorded video of players. He also managed real-time score reporting and roster verification using Perfect Game's digital platform. Additionally, he was responsible for resolving in-game issues and upholding tournament standards in a fast-paced environment.
Wakely currently resides in East Meadow, New York.
