A familiar face to the department, Tori Spruill was named the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Game Operations at Adelphi in November 2021.
"I am very grateful to be back at Adelphi, serving as the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Game Operations," said Spruill. "I would like to thank Danny McCabe and the members of the search committee for this amazing opportunity. I am eager to get started."
A graduate assistant in the athletic event management office from 2019-21, Spruill will be tasked with picking up where she left off.
Spruill will be responsible for the coordination of all efforts related to athletic facility projects and upkeep, as well as the oversight of camps and clinics, game event management and three part-time graduate assistants.
"We are happy to welcome Tori back to Adelphi. As an alum and former graduate assistant, Tori has experience in our facilities and game operations department," said Adelphi Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation Danny McCabe. "Her passion for college athletics, coupled with her work ethic and experience, make her a great fit for this position."
Before coming to Adelphi, Spruill gained valuable experience as an intern at the collegiate level at The City College of New York and her alma mater, Hampton University. She also spent time as a sales and marketing intern with the New York Lizards and helped out as a production assistant at the 2019 MLB All-Star Game at Progressive Field in Cleveland.
Spruill graduated from Hampton in 2019 with her bachelor's degree in Sport Management and received her master's in the same concentration in 2021 from Adelphi.
