Shelby Green enters the 2026-27 academic year at Adelphi as a graduate assistant for the Campus Recreation department.
Green is a 2026 graduate of Adelphi University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in American Sign Language and Deaf Studies. During her time as a Panther, she received multiple awards recognizing her academic achievement, including the Panther Grant and the Adelphi National Award. She was also named to the Dean's List and was a member of the Adelphi chapter of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association.
Most recently, Green has held a variety of positions at Adelphi University, serving as a resident assistant, a quality control and administrative provider for Bridges to Adelphi, and a recreation supervisor for the Campus Recreation department.
As a recreation supervisor, Green was responsible for processing financial transactions, including memberships and payments, ensuring safety in Woodruff Hall and the Center for Recreation and Sport by responding to emergencies and completing incident reports. She also oversaw the opening and closing of facilities and assisted with training and supervising recreation staff and lifeguards.
A native of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Green resides there when not living on Adelphi's campus.
