Joe Chojnacki is now in his fourth season as the head coach at Adelphi. After going 8-17 in 2003, Chojnacki guided the Panthers to a record-setting 20-14 record and the squad's first-ever post-season appearance in his second year at the helm for a 28-31 overall coaching record. The Panthers posted their first 20 win season and were runners-up in the ECAC DiI Tournament in 2004. He also had a second-team All-Northeast team and first-team All-NYCAC selection in libero Sharon Ribera.

Chojnacki was named the fifth head coach in Adelphi volleyball history in June 2003. After a three-year stint as an assistant coach for the Panthers, he served as an interim head coach from November 2002 until his promotion. In his three years as an assistant he helped the Panthers to a 37-37 record including an 18-17 overall record (.514) in 2002. This past summer he also worked volleyball camps at Lutheran High School and Hofstra University's for advanced skills.

Prior to Adelphi, Chojnacki coached club volleyball with the New York based Big Apple Creole team for two years. He spent three years as an assistant for men's varsity volleyball at Kellenberg Memorial High School, which earned two league Championship titles. At Kellenberg, he also served as assistant volleyball coach for women's varsity and junior varsity volleyball for two years, which won a league championship as well.

Prior to Kellenberg he was a student assistant for women's volleyball at the University of Scranton. He also competed in club volleyball for four years, with three spent as a player/coach. Joe has instructed at the Kellenberg Summer Volleyball Camp every year since 1993 and has also worked Bob Bertucci Regional Clinics in 2000 and 2001.

Chojnacki attended the University of Scranton and received a B.S. in communications and a minor in coaching. He is currently pursing a master's in sport administration at Adelphi. He also works as a traffic reporter for the Metro Traffic & Weather Channel and erves his community as a volunteer firefighter and sings in the parish Folk Group.
