Jake Roessler joins the Adelphi University women's volleyball team as an assistant coach in 2018.
A graduate of SUNY New Paltz, Roessler was a four-year member of the Hawks' men's volleyball team, helping the team to an NCAA Division III National Championship in 2016, and a runner-up finish in 2017.
Roessler was named to the NCAA All-Tournament team in his final season, where he also earned All-United Volleyball Conference (UVC) Honorable Mention. He was twice named to the SUNYAC All-Academic Team, and captained the team as a senior.
A native of Massapequa, N.Y., Roessler was a two-time Nassau County champion, as well as an All-County and All-Long Island selection at Massapequa High School, and has served as a volunteer assistant coach with the men's team at his alma mater. In addition, he is an assistant coach for the Sportime Volleyball Club men's 18-1 team.
Roessler earned a bachelor's degree in finance from New Paltz.
