Lauren Leo enters her second season as head coach with the Adelphi men's and women's tennis teams, after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant.

In her first season at the helm of both the men’s and women’s programs, Leo led the men’s team to a 9-12 overall record, posting a 7-4 mark in the NE-10, while the women’s team played to a 16-7 overall record, a near-perfect 12-1 mark in the NE-10 and a share of the NE-10 Regular Season title. The women’s team earned their third straight NCAA Championship berth, and took home eight Northeast-10 All-Conference honors. The men’s team had four All-Conference honorees and Andreas Hammar was named the Vern Cox Player of the Year.

During her time as an assistant, she helped the Panthers to back-to-back women's NCAA Regional appearances and had a hand in guiding the men to the NCAA Regional in 2010.

Leo came to the Panthers with an extensive coaching background, having served as a USTA/Eastern National Coach for seven years. Three of those seven years her junior teams placed in the top two.

Leo was also the Head Coach of the Hunter College women's tennis program. Prior to that, she served as an Assistant Coach of the St. John's University women's tennis team.

A 2007 graduate of St. John's University, Leo was a three-time Big East All-Academic Team recipient/scholar-athlete who helped guide the Red Storm to a third-place finish in the Big East Tournament, the program's highest finish in over 15 years. Leo was also a member of the tennis team at the University of San Diego and helped the team to a second-place finish in the West Coast Conference Tournament (2002-2003).

A native of Staten Island, New York, Leo competed in the USTA and ITF tournaments as a ranked junior and earned a graduate degree in K-12 physical education from Adelphi. In addition, Leo is a Certified USPTA/USPTR tennis instructor
