No stranger to the Panthers, Scott McLaughlin returned to Adelphi in 2002 after a one year absence. Including his three-year stint as an assistant coach at Adelphi from 1998-2000, the 2007 season marks his tenth overall year with the Panthers.
In 2001, he served as an assistant women's soccer coach at Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pa.
McLaughlin was a four-year soccer player at Elizabethtown College in Pennslyvania. During those four years, his team advanced to the NCAA Division III tournament three times and won the Mid-Atlantic Conference title three times. In his senior year, McLaughlin was named to the first team All-Mid Atlantic. He received his bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in Finance in January 1998.
A 1993 graduate of St. Mary's HS in Manhasset, N.Y., he was a four-year letterwinner in both soccer and basketball.
McLaughlin earned his Master's degree in Physical Education from Adelphi in January 2001 and is currently enrolled to earn another Master's in Health education.
McLaughlin is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and holds a National diploma license. He currently resides in Floral Park, N.Y.
