Kara Gazzano

Entering her 12th season as the goalkeeper coach, Kara Gazzano is a former goalkeeper for the Adelphi Soccer Team (1996-99). Gazzano, a four year starter, holds the school records career wins (59) and career shutouts (31.5) and is third in single season wins (17). She had a sub 1.00 goals against average during her four years. She helped lead the Panthers to the NCAA Tournament in 1996 and 1997 as well as the ECC Championships in 1996 and 1997.

Gazzano was named the ECC Rookie of the Year in 1996 and All-ECC in 1997, 1998, and 1999. She was also a NSCAA Scholar Athlete.

Gazzano participated as the goalie for the Adelphi Women's Lacrosse Team for their inaugural season in 2001. She received an M.A. in physical education with a specialization in adapted physical education from Adelphi University in May of 2003.

Gazzano is currently employed as an adapted physical education teacher at the School for Language and Communication Development in Glen Cove, New York.
