Josefa Pace returned to her alma mater to assist the women's soccer team as a member of the coaching staff, and begins her eighth year with the Panthers.
Pace was a defender on the Panther roster from 2001-04. During that time, Adelphi made three NCAA appearances, earning Northeast Regional titles in 2002 and 2003 and advancing to the NCAA Championships in 2004, finishing second in the nation. As a member of the team, she started every game the team played during those four years, 84/84 games in total; and tallied 5 goals and 12 assists.
She is a four-time All-ECC selection, three as a first-team pick, and was a two-time Second-Team All-Northeast Region selection. Pace was also named to the 2004 second-team CoSida Academic All-District team for her academic excellence and was a three-time ECC All-Academic Team honoree.
Pace graduated in 2005 with a Theater and English degree with a minor in Italian. She obtained her Masters in English/Creative Writing from Queens College in 2006. She attended Sarah Lawrence College for a second Masters in 2007-2008. She received her Ph.D. from Hofstra University in Literacy Studies during the Winter of 2012.
In addition, she has held adjunct professor positions at Adelphi (University College) and Hofstra (School of University Studies) where she taught English and writing courses. This fall, she will begin a full-time faculty position at SUNY College at Old Westbury.

Pace has also continued coaching outside of Adelphi, working with the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association Olympic Development Program. In addition, she has earned her USSF B license and holds NSCAA Advanced National and National Diplomas.
