Krista Pellizzi is entering her third season with the women's lacrosse team and will act as the team's offensive coordinator and will also assist in the recruiting process.
A 2007 graduate of the University of Maryland, Pellizzi was a four-year letter winner for the Terrapins and a two-time IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-American. She was also a two-time IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-South selection and two-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) honoree, while netting 121 goals and handing out 54 assists in a Maryland uniform.
In four years at Maryland Pellizzi helped the Terrapins to four NCAA Division I tournament berths, including National Quarterfinal appearances in 2004-2007. A high school All-American at Farmingdale High School, Pellizzi was also a member of the US under-19 world team and scored 406 career points, in high school.
During the summer of 2009, Pellizzi participated in the women's lacrosse World Cup in Prague as a member of the Irish National Team. She led the team to a fifth place finish out of 16 competing national squads.
