Arguably the most decorated female athlete in Adelphi University history, Katherine Hock begins her second season as an assistant coach of the women's lacrosse team. A four-time All-American and two-time All-North Regional Team selection, Hock is currently ranked second on the Division II all-time goals list with 224. She is a three-time ECAC All-Star and 2004 ECAC Player of the Year. Hock guided the Panthers to back-to-back NCAA Final Four appearances including a National Championship in 2004. She scored six goals in the NCAA finals against West Chester to lift the Panthers to their first ever National Championship for any women's sport at Adelphi. Adelphi's all-time leading scorer, Hock was named the 2005 Nassau County Sports Commission's Female Athlete of the Year and the 2005 IWLCA Attacker of the Year. Hock graduated with a psychology degree in May 2005. She is just the third Adelphi athlete to be awarded a NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship and is completing her masters in psychology and elementary education.
