Kristina Genova enters her first season as an assistant coach for the Adelphi women's bowling team in 2018-19, following a four-year career as a Division I bowler at LIU Brooklyn.Â
Twice named All-Northeast Conference for the Blackbirds, Genova was an All-Rookie pick as a freshman and a Second Team honoree as a sophomore. Among her accolades as a student-athlete, Genova helped the Blackbirds win team titles at famed national events including the FDU Jamboree, the SFA Stormin’ Lady Jacks Invite and the Kutztown Baker and Traditional Fall Invites.
The native of Elmont, N.Y. was named to the All-Academic Team by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) in all four seasons, twice helping the Blackbirds post the highest GPA in Division I.Â
A New York State certified teacher, Genova graduated cum laude in early childhood education with a concentration in mathematics from LIU in May of 2018, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in early childhood special education with a dual certification at Adelphi.Â
