Thomas Tempesta

Thomas enters his first season as a Basketball Performance Consultant for the Adelphi University women’s basketball team. He is responsible for player development assessment, shooting, performance, & injury prevention.

He is a 2004 graduate of Adelphi, with a Bachelor of Science in Sports/Exercise Science, and also completed 120 Doctoral credits in the field of Physical Therapy at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons.

He won a New York State Federation Title under Tim Cluess at St. Mary’s High School in 2000 as a player, and also assisted with Pre-Season Strength & Conditioning in 2005-2006 for Cluess during his tenure at LIU C.W. Post.

While working on his doctorate, he coached at the high school level & consulted for AAU programs.

Tempesta holds the following credentials; National Strength & Conditioning Association, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), National Academy of Sports Medicine Performance & Corrective Exercise Specialist (PES & CES), and Power Plate I & Y-Balance Test certificates.
