Richard Cassella enters his third season with the Panthers as an assistant coach and their Director of Technology in 2015-16.

His responsibilities include providing practice and game-film breakdown to enhance team development and educational technology professional development to the coaching staff, as well as managing the team's social media accounts. He also contributes to the preparation and analysis of practices and games.

Prior to joining the Adelphi squad, Cassella was an assistant coach with the girls' basketball team at Lyman Hall High School in Connecticut and the Director of Technology with the Connecticut ATTACK AAU program. He currently is an adjunct professor of New Media Literacies in the Classroom at UCLA Extension and an English teacher with K¹² - a technology-based education company that offers proprietary curriculum and instructional support services.

Cassella received his bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Southern New Hampshire University. He continued his education at the University of Southern California where he received a master's degree in English.
