Heather DeKleine enters her first season on Missy Traversi's coaching staff with Adelphi University women's basketball in 2017-18.
DeKleine is a 2013 graduate of Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich. who played for three years on the Division III school's women's basketball team. DeKleine and her team reached the NCAA Division III Tournament in each of her three playing seasons, and the Division III Elite Eight in 2011-12, when she served as a student assistant while rehabbing from injury.
After graduation, she spent a year as a varsity assistant coach at her alma mater, before spending the next two seasons as an assistant at Division III Wheelock College outside of Boston and served on Traversi's staff in her first year.
DeKleine also earned a master's degree of education in coaching from Boston University in 2015.
