Honors and Awards: Conference champion outdoors in the 10k, three-time All-Conference (2009)...All-CTC indoors in the DMR (2008).

2008-09: Moved up in distance and set personal bests from the 1500 to the 10k...ran a personal best of 19:00 at the indoor CTC championships to claime third while also taking third in the 3k...was the outdoor CTC 10k champion with a time of 40:24 (4/18).

2007-08: Set personal records from the 1500 to the 3k...at the NYU Fastrack meet, she set a personal best in the mile run with a time of 5:43.10 (2/29)...took home second place at the Kings Point Invitational in the 3k in a best time of 11:06 (5/3)...helped her DMR team to a second place showing indoors at the CTC Championship meet (2/9).

2006-07: Did not run.

At Valley Stream South High School: Three-year letterwinner in soccer...four-year letter winner in track...earned all-division honors as both a freshman and junior...all-conference in the 4x800 as a freshman and a senior...earned all-division honors in the 3000 meters her junior and senior years...named track mvp her junior and senior years...also lettered two years in basketball...a member of the athletic honor society for four years...senior awards received include the Paul Grammatico Memorial Scholarship Award, outstanding senior athlete and most athletic award (2004-05).

Personal: Daughter of Tony and Jan Matteo...an art major...enjoys playing soccer, running, art-drawing and the diving team...has three sisters, Jennifer, Geanna and Paris, and two brothers, Anthony and Matthew.
