Mychael Fabio

Mychael Fabio begins his first year as an Assistant Coach after wearing the Panther uniform for four years as a standout sprinter on the track and field team.

During his time at Adelphi, Fabio broke numerous records and earned dozens of accolades for his performances from the 200m dash up to the 500m with his specialty in the 400m. Between the Collegiate Track and the Northeast-10 Conferences, he is a 21 time All-Conference performer and 10 time Conference Champion. Additionally, he is a two-time All-American (2010 Indoor 400m; 2012 Outdoor 400m), 10 time national qualifier and has competed at the NCAA Division II Championships on four occasions. He has been named the NE-10 Most Valuable Performer, USTFCCCA Indoor All-Region and Outdoor Male Athlete of the Year.

During his freshman year, he qualified and competed at the USATF Junior National Championships in Eugene, Oregon in the 400m and then competed at the USATF Indoor Championships during his senior year and being the only Division II runner in the field. Fabio broke three indoor school records with personal bests of 21.47 for 200m, 47.26 in the 400m and 1:02.52 over 500m. He boasts a personal best of 46.63 outdoors for 400m which he ran in the semifinal heats at the NCAA Championship during his senior year.

Fabio graduated from Adelphi with a degree in sports management with a minor in business in May of 2012. He currently resides in Huntington, N.Y. and continues to train and compete on a high level.
