Andrew Coelho enters his third year as an assistant coach for the Adelphi University cross country and track and field teams. The Adelphi alumnus competed for the Panthers from 2009-13.
During his time at Adelphi, Coelho was a four-time Northeast-10 All-Conference selection ('09-'12), a four-time NCAA Division II All-Region pick ('09-'12), a three-time national qualifier and a two-time All-American. In 2011, he finished as runner-up in the men's event of the NCAA East Regional in cross country.
He also excelled during the track and field season as an NCAA Division II national qualifier in the indoor 3k ('13), indoor 5k ('11, '13), and outdoor 10k ('11, '12, '13), and was the NE10 5k champion in 2012.
After graduation, Coelho ran professionally Saucony's Hurricane Team in 2014 and began his work within New York Road Runners' Youth and Development Services team as a member of the Young Runners organization, serving multiple NYC public schools. In this role, he was responsible for implementing training programs for kids while coordinating with the school's department.
