Adelphi University Athletics

Kelly Whelan enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Adelphi swimming and diving program after a four-year career in the Brown and Gold.

A native of Forest Hills, N.Y., Whelan's name currently sits in the Adelphi record books as a member of four relay teams: the 200 medley, and the 200, 400 and 800 freestyle relay events. Prior to her career at Adelphi, Whelan was a four-year varsity swimmer at Archbishop Molloy High School.

She graduated in May of 2017 with a bachelor's degree in speech pathology, and is currently pursuing a master's degree.
