Ophir Sadeh

Ophir Sadeh was announced as the interim head coach of the Adelphi softball program by athletic director Danny McCabe on Aug. 6, 2018. 

He previously spent three seasons as an assistant coach before being elevated to associate head coach prior to the 2016 season, where his major responsibilities include recruiting and handling the pitching staff, catchers and infielders.

Sadeh came to Adelphi from Smithtown West High School, where he was an assistant coach for two years in charge of the pitching staff. He also spent two years as the Commissioner of Long Island’s Best Softball League and head coach of the Ducks Fastpitch 18U team. 

Sadeh has coached softball at the club/travel, high school, Division I, and Division II levels for over a decade and is fixture at camps and clinics throughout Long Island and the Northeast Region. He spent two seasons as a student assistant at Hofstra University, followed by two years as an assistant coach from 2008-10. In addition, Sadeh has extensive camp experience coaching at the Long Island All-Star Softball game for over 10 years, and also Camp Riseball.
 
A 2004 graduate of Hofstra with a degree in physical education, Sadeh earned his master’s degree from Stony Brook in 2006.
