Monique Roberge enters her third season as an assistant coach with the Adelphi University softball program, after a standout four-year career with the Queens College Knights.Â
Roberge was a force both in the circle and at the plate for the Knights, posting a career batting average of .382 with 35 home runs, and an ERA of 2.42. A four-time ECC All-Conference selection, Roberge was also a two-time NFCA All-East Region First Team selection as a junior and senior, and was tabbed a NFCA Third Team All-American as a junior.Â
As a senior, she hit .392 with 15 home runs and 58 RBIs, while also posting a 14-5 record (13-1 ECC) in the circle en route to helping the Knights claim an ECC Championship and berth in the NCAA East Regional. She ranked eighth in the nation in strikeouts per seven innings (10.8) was a nominee for the NCAA's Woman of the Year by both Queens College and the ECC, and earned the Queens College Silver Knight Award for Athletics, Academics, Service, and Leadership.
A native of New Hyde Park, N.Y., Roberge graduated with a B.S. in exercise science from Queens.Â
