Kayla McCoy enters her first season on head coach Carla Campagna's staff with the Adelphi softball team in 2019.
McCoy was a former infielder for four years at LIU Post from 2014-17, and was coached by Campagna when she was an assistant under longtime head coach Jamie Apicella.
McCoy appeared in 190 games over the course of her years with the Pioneers, and hit .273 with 24 career doubles, 11 home runs and 61 RBIs.
The Smithtown, N.Y. native was a Second Team All-ECC selection in her senior year, and prior to her career in green and gold, was a two-time Suffolk County Player of the Year at Smithtown West High School.
McCoy graduated from LIU Post with a degree in criminal justice.
