Tarl Smith capped his first season on the sidelines with the Adelphi University men's soccer team in 2019.
Smith has been a well-regarded and highly successful coach within the Long Island soccer community for over 20 years. He has an expansive level of experience and is one of the most exceptionally qualified coaches in the Northeast.
He began his coaching experience with Sports First in London in 1999, and then worked with Wimbledon F.C., University of Surrey and Fulham F.C., before crossing the Atlantic to work with the Long Island Junior Soccer League's (LIJSL) player development program.
He holds not only the prestigious National Youth License, but also a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) 'A' License, NSCAA Premier Diploma and a UEFAÂ 'B' License.
Smith, an Olympic Development Program (ODP) coach for U.S. Youth Soccer, is also part of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) instructional staff, delivering USSFÂ licenses to coaches all over New York State.
