Nicholas "Nicky" Costa returns for his second season on the sidelines of his alma mater as an assistant coach for the men's soccer team in 2018.
A 2014 graduate of Adelphi, Costa played in 62 career games for the Brown and Gold, playing three years for the Panthers in Division I and then his senior season in the Northeast-10. As a senior, Costa ranked third the NE10 with seven assists, and also scored two goals.
After graduating, Costa played with New York Cosmos 'B' in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) during the 2015 season, making a total of 12 appearances during the team's inaugural season. Following a year with New York Cosmos 'B', Costa signed a professional contract with the United Soccer League's Arizona United.
A native of Carle Place, N.Y., Costa earned a degree in sports management from Adelphi.
