Matt Apicella, a Top 10 all-time career leader in wins, saves and shutouts, is in his second year as a graduate assistant coach with the Panthers in 2022.
From 2016-18, Apicella made 38 starts in the Adelphi net and posted a 27-7-2 record with 166 saves and a 1.17 goals-against average.
His 15 career shutouts stand as the fifth-most of any goalkeeper in the program's history.
Apicella was named to the NE10 All-Championship Team in 2018, after helping lead the Panthers to an NE10 Tournament title.
Apicella recorded a shutout in each of those three postseason contests, including a seven-save performance against Merrimack in the NE10 Tournament final.
Apicella, who is currently working towards a master's degree at Adelphi, is originally from Monroe, N.Y.
