Once recruited by Gary Book, George O'Malley took to the sidelines as a graduate assistant coach with the Adelphi men's soccer team in 2022.

O'Malley recently wrapped up a successful five-year tenure (2017-21) at Hofstra University, where his collegiate career culminated with a CAA Defensive Player of the Year honor and the Pride's first CAA Tournament Championship since 2015.

With O'Malley leading the back line, Hofstra reached the third round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history in 2021, after routing No. 12 seed Penn State, 8-2.

O'Malley was a three-time First Team All-CAA selection and twice earned inclusion on the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team.

Before coming to Hofstra, O'Malley attended the prestigious Harrow School in England. He captained the school to a league championship in 2016 and its best-ever result in the national Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) Cup.

O'Malley then captained both the England ISFA and England Schoolboys national teams, leading the latter to victory in the Centenary Shield in 2016.
