Tommy Susko begins his fourth year on the sidelines of the men's lacrosse team as an assistant coach. His responsibilities include working with the Panther offense and extra man unit.
In addition to his duties at Adelphi, Susko is entering his third season as an assistant coach for the New York Lizards of Major League Lacrosse (MLL).
Susko was a member of the 2011 men’s lacrosse team, helped the Panther squad achieve a 16-3 overall record. Winning the school’s first Northeast-10 Conference Championship, receiving a bid to the Final Four then advancing to the NCAA Division II National Championship.
As a midfielder/attackman, he played in 18 games and was first on the team in and in the Northeast-10 conference in goals (41) and tied for third in points (48). In just one year, he earned honors in the form of NE-10 All-Championship Team, Donald E. Kohart Memorial Award (presented to the most outstanding offensive player on Adelphi's lacrosse team), NE-10 and ECAC Player of the Week and National Student-Athlete Award for achieving excellence in academics and athletics. He also ranks tied for ninth in the record books in single season goals.
Prior to Adelphi, Susko attended Molloy College where he was a four-year starter for the Lions where he was named to the East Coast Conference Athletic Honor Roll. While there, he received his bachelor of arts in history.
Susko has also earned himself two masters degrees from Adelphi University. A masters of arts in history adolescence education (2012) and a masters of science in sports management (2014).
