Ryan Durnin joined the Adelphi men’s lacrosse coaching staff in 2026, following a four-year playing career with the Panthers as a long stick midfielder from 2022–25. A key contributor to Adelphi’s defensive unit, Durnin helped the program capture two NCAA Division II National Championships during his career.
As a senior in 2025, Durnin started 15 of 16 games and ranked third on the team with 23 caused turnovers. He earned USILA Third Team All-America honors and was also named a USILA Scholar All-American while helping anchor the Panthers’ championship defense.
Durnin also earned All-Northeast-10 Third Team recognition in 2024 and was selected to the NE10 All-Rookie Team in 2022 after appearing in 16 games as a freshman on a unit that finished the season with the top scoring defense in Division II.
A native of Massapequa Park, New York, Durnin was an All-County selection and team captain at Massapequa High School and helped lead the Chiefs to the 2019 New York State Championship.
Off the field, he was a multi-time NE10 Academic Honor Roll selection and recipient of the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award, graduating from Adelphi with a degree in physical education.
