Kyle Yberg is in his third season as an assistant men's lacrosse coach primarily working with the defense and long pole midfielders.
Yberg comes back to Adelphi University, from Ohio Wesleyan University where he was the defense coordinator. The defense allowed an avg of 6.13 goals per game under his direction. The Bishops went 12-4 overall, falling just short in the NCAC Championship Game.Â
He is a 2010 graduate of Molloy College, graduating cum laude in secondary mathematics education. He played for 3 seasons at Molloy, earning an 2008-09 Academic Achievement Award for Division II.
Yberg continued his education at Adelphi, earning a master's degree in sports management.  During his one year as a member of the Panther lacrosse team in 2011, he helped the Panthers to a berth in the National Championship.
He made 11 starts on defense with 14 appearances and helped the squad to a 16-3 record which included the program's first Northeast-10 Championship and first trip to the National Championship since 2001.
Yberg is a native of South Hempstead, N.Y.
