Tim McAleer is entering his second year at the helm of the Adelphi University golf program. McAleer takes the reins of a program that was ranked as high as first in the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional poll in 2008 and made an NCAA Super Regional appearance.

During the 2008-09 fall schedule, out of seven outings, the Panthers took five wins and a second place finish at the ECAC Championships. The winning ways carried over through the fall as they captured another five matches including a win at the Long Island Intercollegiate Championships. They finished sixth at the NCAA East Regional. Under his coaching, Brant Kummerfeld advanced to the NCAA Championships where finished tied for 33rd and was named an All-American Honorable Mention.

McAleer, the Metropolitan New York Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) coordinator for officials, has been affiliated with such conferences as the Atlantic-10, the Patriot League and the Ivy League and the Northeast Conference and was the head golf coach at DRS Yeshiva High School for three years. He also served as a member of the New York City Police Department for 23 years, earning the rank of Sergeant.
