Adelphi University Athletics

Michael Driscoll is entering his second year as an assistant coach with the Adelphi golf program. His primary responsibilities will include monitoring the academic progress of the team and academic advisement as well as practice instruction.

Driscoll joined the faculty of Adelphi University in 2010 as a Visiting Professor and Senior Executive in Residence after an almost 30 year career on Wall Street. Driscoll teaches both graduate and undergraduate finance classes in addition to acting as an advisor to the undergraduate Finance Society at Adelphi.

He logged almost 30 years at seven New York area investment companies, including Bear, Stearns & Company, Inc. and Smith Barney, holding such titles as Senior Block Trader, Co-Head of Listed Trading, Senior Managing Director, Equity Trading and Head of Trading.

A 1989 graduate of Adelphi University, Driscoll was also a member of Adelphi’s Board of Trustees, Chairman of the Investment Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Advancement Committee all from 2006-2010. In addition, Dirscoll earned his bachelor’s from SUNY Maritime College where he was a Third Officer in the United States Merchant Marines.
