Biography
2008-09: Played in 27 games, getting the start in 26... ended the season with a total field goal percentages of .567, highest on the team... led the team in blocks with 48... ended the season with 239 points, good for 8.9 ppg...tied for first on the team in blocked shots in a game with five against Pace (11/22)... season best eight rebounds on five occasions against: Bloomfield College (11/25), Molloy College (1/14) Concord (1/24), Queens (2/4) and Dowling College (2/21).
2007-08: Started and played in 29 out of the 30 games, averaging 28 minutes per game...shot .477 percent from the field and averaged 5.5 boards per game - a team best...was second on the team in points per game, averaging 10.2 for a season total of 295...picked up a team best 37 block shots and accumulated 13 steals...had a season high 20 points against C.W. Post (3/1)...tallied a season best 14 rebounds against STAC (11/26)...hit seven field goals twice during the season and had five assists against Franklin Pierce (1/2).
2006-07: Appeared in 31 games, making 10 starts...logged an average of 15.3 minutes per appearance...posted career highs of 12 points, five made fields and four made free throws on two occasions...pulled down 11 rebounds and played 38 minutes in Adelphi[apos]s double overtime loss to NYIT (11/29/06)...picked up three steals against St. Thomas Aquinas on February 6, 2007.
At Loyola College: Appeared in 16 contests for an average of 4.8 minutes per game...averaged 0.6 points and 1.2 rebounds, while blocking three shots and picking up four steals.
At Northfield Mt. Hermon Prep School: Was on the national prep player Top-75 list...named to all-tournament team at 2004 Boys Club Tournament at Basketball City (NYC)...again earned McDonald[apos]s All-America nomination.
At Benjamin Cardozo High School: A three-year starter on the varsity basketball team...led team to 22-3 record senior season...played Abraham Lincoln High School in City Championship Game at Madison Square Garden...averaged 15 points and 14 rebounds as a senior...named Queens Player of the Year...also earned first-team All-Queens honors, second-team All-City honors...was a McDonald[apos]s All-America nominee.
Personal: The son of Greg Khaleel and Paula Brown...majoring in business...has a younger sister, Jessica (8)...father played basketball at Wagner College.
