Rich Glesmann is entering his second year as an assistant basketball coach at Adelphi University.
Glesmann joined the staff after spending one year as the Head women's basketball coach at Wheelock College. Holding the distinction of being one of the youngest head coaches in the country, Glesmann's team improved their win total from the year before by five games.
A native of Wayland, Mass., Glesmann attended Salisbury State before transferring to Emerson College. There he graduated in 2001 with a degree in Media Arts. A three-year starter at guard, he guided the Lions to a record setting 21-9 season his senior year and a trip to the ECAC Championships.
Glesmann's primary duties will be to assist coach Cosgrove with day-to-day basketball operations as well as pre season conditioning programs.
