Mark Blocker

Mark Blocker enters his fifth year as an assistant coach for the Adelphi University men’s basketball program in 2019-20 season.

His duties include, but not restricted to recruiting– creating scouting reports, video editing and working with perimeter and low post players.

As a part of the Panthers, Coach Blocker has helped turn the program around. In his first season, the team had more than tripled their wins from the prior season, finishing with a 20–9 overall record. He also contributed to the Panthers playing in the Northeast-10 Tournament the last four years. Additionally, with Coach Blocker’s support, two players have become 1,000-point scorers during his time with the program.

Coach Blocker has worked numerous prestige camps as an instructor over the course of his coaching career. Camps include the Duke University Basketball Camp, Hoop Group Elite, Columbia University Elite Camp, and David Duke Basketball Camp where he served as a camp director.

Blocker resides in Harlem, NY with his wife Kate and their dog Kingston.
