Jon Giacobbe enters his first year on the sidelines as an Assistant Basketball Coach.

Giacobbe comes from Mercy College where he served as an assistant coach for two years from 2009-2011. While there, he was responsible for running practive, assisting in game plans and individualized workouts, recruting, scouting, game day management and film exchange.

He also has coaching experience as a head coach and instructor at New Hights in the Bronx as well as leading Team Noah, an AAU under-17 team in Queens, New York. At New Heights, he coached 13-17 year olds in a 10 weekend long skills program where he directed stations that taught fundamentals of basketball including shooting, dribbling, rebounding, defense and player positions. As the Head Coach of Team Noah, he ran practice, monitored his players' academics and assisted in travel coordination as well as budgeting. Additionally, he helped in the organization and promotion of the "Joakim Noah Tournament" which was run in conjunction with the "NBA Cares" program.

A former collegiate student-athlete, Giacobbe played for the Division I Fordam University Rams throuhgout his four years there and aided the team in compiling 52 wins from 2003-07.

Prior to college, he was a member of Archbishop Molloy high school's basketball team for three years where he helped them win the Junior Varsity City Championship.

Giacobbe currently resides in Manhattan, New York.
