Adam Mayer begins his first year with the Adelphi University men’s basketball staff in 2014-15.
Mayer played collegiately at Western New England University before becoming an assistant coach during the spring of 2012 through the 2013-14 campaign. As an assistant, his duties included recruiting throughout the Northeast, player development and strength and conditioning.
Additionally, Mayer worked for the Basketbull AAU program in Springfield, MA where he gained experience at the AAU Basketball Hall of Fame Spring Showcase Tournaments. He also has spent time as a counselor at the New York Knicks and Western New England Basketball Camps and was an assistant director at the Adelphi Basketball Camps this past summer.
Outside of basketball, Mayer spent the summer of 2012 as an intern at Dan Klores Communication. As an intern he was able to research and report on media articles and videos for clients, participate in special event operations, draft press releases, and organize press representation at a New York City Public Housing event.
Growing up in Peekskill, Mayer currently resides in White Plains.
