Aaron Cummings is entering his first season as an assistant coach with the men's basketball program.

Cummings moves from the court to the sidelines after having spent the previous two seasons in an Adelphi uniform. Cummings help guide the Panthers to back-to-back ECC regular season titles and a tournament title in 2006. He also played a vital role in helping Adelphi earn NCAA Northeast Regional berths in 2005 and 2006.

A 2006 All-Met and ECC All-Tournament selection, Cummings also left his mark on the Adelphi record books, posting 71 steals during the 2005-06 season, good enough for third on the single season list. He is also on the career list with 267 assists (7th) and the single season list assists list, 154 assists in 2005-06 (8th).

Cummings graduated with a degree in sports management.
