Adelphi University Athletics

Garrett Chapman is entering his second year as the Athletic Department Business Manager and Equipment Supervisor. He has been with the Adelphi Athletic Department since the summer of 2007, starting as an assistant in the Sports Information office. Chapman graduated from C.W. Post in 2007, with a degree in electronic media and a minor in public relations, he immediately put his minor to work, accepting a graduate position at Adelphi University. Chapman worked in the office of Sports Information, assisting in publications as well as being the main contact for several Panther sports, while earning a MBA with a concentration in management. Upon graduating from Adelphi in the summer of 2008, Chapman continued working at Adelphi in the office of Sports Information, taking on an expanded role that included graphic design work. In the summer of 2009, he accepted his current position as business manager and equipment supervisor and now oversees and authorizes puchases of equipment and services for all of Adelphi[apos]s sports. A member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association, Chapman is also the Assistant Girls Track Coach at Hewlett-Woodmere High School.
